Description

Ever wished you'd paid more attention when Grandad replaced a washer, or changed the oil in the car, or polished his shoes? Here's another must-have household bible - the perfect companion volume to "Tips From Your Nana" - to help with everyday tasks as well as the more fun stuff, like making home brew beer and cider. This time we look at Grandad's 'number 8 wire' hints: from car maintenance, to growing fruit trees, to catching and smoking your own fish. Grandad's pretty handy with a hammer too - he can bang together a basic barbecue (as well as supply some recipes and how-to tips), fix those crumbling old tiles and he can show you how to prepare a wall for painting. He even knows how to make soap (it's easier than you think) and, being a multi-talented man, can make his own liqueurs, toys and sweets, too. "Tips From Your Grandad" is a practical, how-to guide that covers a wide range of lifestyle basics. It's full of irresistible ideas, is seriously useful and is a great deal of fun. Tammy Williams' stunning photographs show off Grandad's best side. This stylishly presented book is the perfect gift for the Gen-Y or -X on your list. This title features fun, quirky and seriously useful stylish design with gorgeous photos throughout. It is written to appeal to those who want to do it, fix it, make it and cook it themselves. It is environmentally friendly; perfect gift book for the 20 to 40-something on your list. It re-discovers Grandad's Number 8 wire tricks. Also available: "Tips From Your Nana".
